Senate President Godswill Akpabio, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, Senator Simon Lalong, Governors of Nasarawa and Benue were among top politicians of the ruling party that graced the reception of decampees into the APC in Plateau State.
Senator Akpabio who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said the massive influx of decampees into the APC shows the wide acceptance of the party among Nigerians as well as a vindication of the performance of the Renewed Hope Administration.
Akpabio said the President welcomes the new members from various parties who will be treated fairly and given an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the APC by delivering the President, and electing Governor as well as State and National Assembly members.

National Chairman Prof Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe said the APC has enough fire power to win emphatically in the next elections.
APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe said the APC win Plateau Governorship, National and State Assembly elections emphatically because the party has united more than ever before and also received decampees from other parties, including those who worked against the APC during the last elections.
He called for more cohesion under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose Renewed Hope Agenda is transforming Nigeria.
Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu also expressed joy that the APC in Plateau State and Nigeria at large is attracting more people of substance from the other political parties.

Chairman North Central Governors Forum Engr. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State said Plateau remains a strong APC state despite not having a Governor as it has attracted even people from the serving government in the state, a sign that the people believe in the party and its ideals.
Leader of APC Plateau State Senator Simon Bako Lalong described the occasion as a moment of vindication proving that the APC is resilient even in the face of futile attempts to destroy it.
Lalong said although the current PDP government took actions to erase the legacies of the APC such as sacking elected local Government Chairmen, duly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Civil servants, heads of tertiary institutions as well as refusal to continue with legacy projects among others, the people of Plateau State nevertheless chose to remain faithful to the APC having seen the difference.
Hon. Rufus Bature, Chairman APC Plateau State welcomed the decampees and assured them of a level playing field.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, a former Special Adviser to Governor Caleb Mutfwang and one time Chairman of the APC said they decided to leave PDP because of deciet, oppression and apparent failure to perform.
He said all the decampees from various political parties are happy with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC leadership under Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman and Senator Simon Bako Lalong who has held the party very firm in Plateau State.
