Arewa Festival : Tripoint Academy Moves to boost Children’s Entrepreneur Skills

A Non governmental organization known as Tripoint Academy, reiterated it’s commitments towards boosting the business talent of children particularly the girls.

This was stated by the National coordinator of Tripoint Academy Hajiya Shuhda Muhammad, while delivering her speech at the 2025 Arewa Festival, organized by the Academy in Jigawa state.

She explained that, the objectives of the festival is to display talented children more especially teenage girls on children friendly businesses and trades to encourage and support them.

 “The festival will showcase the rich heritage, talents, and innovations of Arewa, bringing together leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and culture enthusiasts from across the region”, she said.

According to her, the first of its kind event and is going to be an annual ceremony that would be going round in the 19 northern states.

Also speaking, the Jigawa state coordinator, Tripoints Academy Mrs Aisha Ilyasu Surko stated that hundreds of children participated in displaying their talents in in various children friendly businesses and trades in the Jigawa festival.

Mrs Surko further disclosed that “as you can see children across northern region more especially the host state, Jigawa are here showcasing their trades and businesses practicing. This is an additional method of encouraging children to productive entrepreneur at young age”

She then, commended governor Malam Umar Namadi, her Excellency Amina Namadi, Baba Azimi Foundation (BAF), Hasina Confectionary and Restaurant and Onga for their support and making the festival to happened

While delivering her remarks, the wife of Jigawa state Governor, Hajiya Amina Umar Namadi who was represented by her special assistant Hajiya Maryam Ahmed said, Jigawa government is always ready to support children entrepreneurship talent to stand  productive.

“As parts of governor Malam Umar Namadi’s 12 point agenda the state is committed to jobs creation and economic empowerment under which hundreds of thousands youth and women were supported in cash and in kind”.

According to her “this administration under His Excellency Malam Umar Namadi would identify children with entrepreneur talents and interests and gives them maximum supporters for more skills, capitals and materials on their choices trades and businesses particularly childrens’ friendly businesses and trades in their respective communities”.

She advised parents and guidance to encourage and supports and engages their children and words and girls child in particular to be productive and self reliant since from childhood, “it is very important to inculcates interest of entrepreneurship in addition to formal education that would complements their exposure to be catching with modernization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Hajiya Amina Umar Namadi commended Tripoint Academy for organizing the festival and choosing Jigawa state to host of event.
