The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration, calling for deep reflection on its enduring message of hope, renewal and responsible living.

Senator Lalong, a Knight of St. Gregory the Great, said Easter presents a unique moment for sober introspection and spiritual rejuvenation, as it commemorates the triumph of life over death and light over darkness through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He noted that beyond the festivities, the season challenges individuals and leaders alike to demonstrate integrity, humility, and commitment to the common good.

He stressed that Nigeria’s progress depends largely on the willingness of its citizens to uphold values of justice, mutual respect, and accountability, urging leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare of the people and work collectively towards strengthening democratic institutions.

The lawmaker also appealed to the people of Plateau State to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and supportive of ongoing efforts to sustain peace and stability across communities, noting that lasting development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and security.

He assures the people of Plateau South Senatorial District of his commitment to continue working for development, progress and harnessing democratic dividends.

Senator Lalong wished Christians a meaningful Easter celebration and encouraged all Nigerians to embrace the season as a catalyst for positive change and national renewal.
