The Civil Society Coalition on Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution has honoured the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to educational development.
In a statement signed by Muhammad Musbahu Basirka Chairman Civil Society Coalition on Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution, said the award was presented to His Excellency on Sunday, 8th February 2026, at the Council Chamber, Government House, Dutse, during a one-day roundtable discussion on basic education with key stakeholders.
According to the statement, the award, as symbolized in the presented plaques, reflects the Governor’s role as an Architect of Educational Excellence, acknowledging deliberate reforms that prioritize access, quality, and equity in basic education. These include sustained investments in school infrastructure, teacher recruitment and development, and policies that strengthen inclusive learning, particularly for future generations.
The Coalition noted that Governor Namadi’s education agenda has moved beyond rhetoric to practical action, laying a solid foundation for a more prosperous, educated, and socially stable Jigawa State. His leadership continues to inspire confidence among stakeholders and reinforces education as a cornerstone for peace and development.
The statement the reaffirmed the coalition’s commitment to constructive partnership with the Jigawa State Government in advancing reforms that secure better learning outcomes and long-term human capital development across the state.
