FG opts for strong partnership as NEDC commission projects in Adamawa.

State Minister of the Ministry for Regional Development,Hon.Uba Maigari has advocated for strong partnership and collaboration between the Federal government and state governments with a view to provision of projects with direct bearing on Nigerians across the country.

Maigari made the disclosure in Yola, the Adamawa state capital yesterday while superintending official commissioning of several infrastructures completed and hand over to the Adamawa state government courtesy of the North East Development Commission,NEDC across the state.

Maigari,who was accompanied by senior officials of the NEDC including Managing Director,MD. and Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Goni Alkali,NEDC members Board of Directors led by Major General Paul Tarfa (rtd)., Representative of the Adamawa state government,Head of Civil Service,Pharm. Isah Shehu Ardo emphasized that, sustainable development can be realize through shared vision and effective coordination of resources.

He affirmed that, the projects align seamlessly with the commission’s statutory mandate and reasonate strongly with president Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda which priorities critical infrastructure development as a catalyst for national growth and improved citizens’ welfare.

“These projects were carefully designed to improve access to quality education, health care, empowerment, portable drinking water supply, shelter and good road networks among others.

“This is the third state we are visiting in the series for the continuation of facilities inspection and commissioning of completed projects undertaken by the NEDC in the zone after Bauchi and Gombe states”.Maigari highlighted.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of the Commission,NEDC.Mohammed Goni
Alkali highlighted that the commission at all times give priority to projects with direct impact on the people in various communities.

Alkali expressed satisfaction with the quality of the job done by various contractors on the commissioned projects urging the people to guard them jealously for the benefit of communities.

The projects that are completed and commissioned included; Mega school Guyuk, Rehabilitated skills Acquisition center Guyuk, 1.1 kilometers road linking staff quarters and Academic arena at FCE Yola, 1.5 kilometers General Paul Tarfa road in Garkida town of Gombi local government area, Newly construct ed GSS Garkida and the water scheme upgrade for school of Nursing and midwifery among others.

Other projects inspected during the 3-day facilities tour includes ; Ultra modern accident and emergency (A&E) complex and state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facilities at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching hospital Yola, skills Acquisition center Mayo belwa and upgrade of primary health center among others.
