Gov Yusuf Swears-in New Anti-corruption Chairman

The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusif has swore in Barrister Sa’idu Yahaya as the new Executive Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC).

The swearing, held at the anti-chamber of the Government House, was presided over by the Kano State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi, who administered the oath of office and allegiance.

Governor Yusuf had earlier nominated Yahaya and forwarded his name to the Kano State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation, in line with due process.

His appointment was subsequently approved by the Kano state House of Assembly.

Barrister Sa’idu Yahaya, a seasoned anti-corruption expert, brings over 18 years of professional experience to his new role.

He previously served at the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), where he specialized in investigation, prosecution support.
