Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has commissioned one thousand, four hundred and fifty operatives of Operation Rainbow, the state-owned security outfit, charging them to be vigilant, disciplined, and professional in the discharge of their duties.

Speaking at the passing-out ceremony held at the New Jos Stadium on Tuesday, the governor said the uniform worn by the operatives represents hope, safety, and trust, urging them to serve as worthy ambassadors of their communities and role models to the youth.

Governor Mutfwang emphasized that security is a collective responsibility, assuring that his administration will continue to invest in security infrastructure, training, and strategic partnerships to guarantee the safety of lives and property across the state.

He warned that the government will take proactive steps to confront any threat to peace.

The governor also commended the trainers and families of the operatives for their support, noting that Operation Rainbow will work closely with conventional security agencies and community stakeholders to promote peace and unity.

He wished the operatives courage, wisdom, and divine protection as they begin their assignment.
Meanwhile, the Plateau State Government says the latest recruitment draws operatives from all seventeen local government areas, expanding the reach of Operation Rainbow statewide.

Acting coordinator of the outfit, retired Major General Gagji Shippi, described the development as a major milestone under the current administration, attributing it to Governor Mutfwang’s support.

He said the state wide recruitment, a first for Operation Rainbow, will strengthen intelligence gathering, improve early warning systems, and enhance rapid response to security threats.

General Shippi expressed confidence that the expanded force will significantly improve security across Plateau State.
