The Jigawa State Ministry of Livestocks Development and Jigawa Agricultural Transformation Agency (JATA) have promised to work with a non Governmental Organization Known as Agricultural Accountability Initiative For Community Development (AI4CD) for better Agricultural transformation in the state.
The commitments was made by the Commissioner Jigawa State ministry of Livestocks Development Alhaji Abdulrahman Salim Lawan when he received the team of AI4CD paid a familiarization visit to his office at new Secretariat Dutse.

“Our ministry is ready partner with any organization that is willing to bring development I Livestocks production in Jigawa State”, he said.
The Commissioner who said, the present administration under the leadership of Governor Malam Umar Namadi is committed to provide job for Jigawa teaming Youths added that Agricultural transformation is one of the twelve points agenda in the state.

The team also paid a familiarization visit to the Director General Jigawa Agricultural Transformation Agency (JATA) Dr Saifullahi Umar who described the visit as timely.
He explained that partnership with both private and public organizations is one of key pillars of the JATA to achieve it’s desired goals and objectives.

Dr Saifullahi then reassured his support to AI4CD as partner in Agricultural transformation in Jigawa as well as to achieve the target of Jigawa state Governor Malam Umar Namadi of making Jigawa to compete internationally on agriculture.
While speaking earlier, the AI4CD team leader, Professor Usman Haruna said the purpose of the familiarization visit is to introduce the objectives of the organization and to seek for cooperation from the Agricultural MDAs in state.
According to him, some of the objectives of Agricultural Accountability Initiative For Community Development (AI4CD) is to help government to achieve it’s Agricultural targets through budget tracking, capacity building to farmers, monitoring support given to farmers, amplifying the voices of both farmers and Policy makers among many others.
He then commended the present administration under governor Malam Umar Namadi for his commitments towards transforming Agriculture in Jigawa State.
