A young and promising politician in Gombe State, Zakariyya Jidda, has commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, describing him as a fair and visionary leader whose style of governance has strengthened the fortunes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Jidda made the remarks while assessing the conduct of the party’s recent internal elections, which he said were peaceful, orderly and credible across all levels, from wards to the state.
According to him, the governor’s adherence to transparency, inclusiveness and the rule of law has created a level playing field for party members, thereby ensuring hitch-free electoral processes within the APC.
“The atmosphere created by the governor allowed every stakeholder to participate freely, which is why the elections were conducted without tension or dispute,” he said.
He further noted that the administration has entrenched a culture of issue-based and responsible politics in the state, adding that this has contributed to the growing number of defections from other political parties into the APC.
Jidda said the increasing influx of politicians into the ruling party reflects public confidence in the current administration and its development agenda.
“The movement of politicians into the APC is not by chance; it is a response to visible governance, sincerity and the delivery of democratic dividends,” he added.
The young politician also called on political actors in the state to prioritise unity, discipline and constructive engagement, stressing that collaboration remains essential for sustainable development.
He urged stakeholders to set aside personal and partisan differences in the interest of the state, describing Governor Inuwa Yahaya as a unifying force in Gombe’s political landscape.
Jidda also congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, praying for peace, unity and continued progress in Gombe State and Nigeria at large.
