Jigawa Gov’s Wife Declares  2nd Trade Fair Open As JIWEN Assures More support to Entrepreneurs

The Wife of Jigawa State Governor, Hajiya Amina Umar Namadi on Thursday declared the Jigawa Women Entrepreneurs Network (JIWEN) Business Summit and second Trade Fair Opened.

Hajiya Amina who said, empowering women entrepreneurs is part of present administration’s twelve points agenda added that, the summit will expose tremendous business opportunities to the women and help them to boost their business.

She also commended JIWEN for organizing the event  and urged women to adopt modern e entrepreneurship for better development and to compete globally.

While delivering her speech, the JIWEN chairperson, Hajiya Nuriya Haruna Bako, explained that, the event was organized by JIWEN in partnership with Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperative and Tourism, and Jigawa state Investment Promotion Agency aimed at boosting women entrepreneurs and exhibit business opportunities for better economic growth and development.

Mrs Bako who said, this year’s theme for the event is “Filling the Gaps: Real Interaction Towards Business Growth for Entrepreneurs in Jigawa state” , added that it focuses on urgent need to bridge the barriers that women and youth entrepreneurs continue to face in starting, sustaining, and scaling their business.

According to her, bringing together key institutions like BOI, SMEDAN, CAC, FIRS, SON, NAFDAC and pairing their solutions with real voices of our oldest and emerging entrepreneurs to create a practical platform for growth and development.

“I am particularly proud that our women and youth entrepreneurs are not only participants, but key contributors, they represent the future of entrepreneurship, creativity and business leadership in Jigawa state and JIWEN remain committed to supporting their journey”, Bako said.
