Jigawa Govt Assures More Commitments to OGP As National Secretariat Lauds the Efforts

The Jigawa State government has promised more collaboration to Actors of Open Government Partnership (OGP) both at National and state level for better development of its citizens.

This was announced by the Permanent Secretary (Establishment) office of the Head of Service Alhaji Muhammad Yahaya Jabo, while delivering his remarks at a two-day  OGP Co-creation session to develop the Jigawa State Action Plan (SAP III), Organized by State OGP Secretariat with support from Jigawa government and PACE FCDO, held at Bafra hotel Kaduna state.

The Permanent Secretary explained that, the present administration in the state is committed towards ensuring Open Government Partnership for the benefit of its citizens, “As OGP always promote transparency, Participation and accountability in service delivery”.

Speaking During the session, the Non State Actors Co-chair Comrade Isah Mustapha said, this is another milestone for Jigawa OGP, as development of State Action Plan will serve as roadmap towards promoting Justice, transparency and Accountability in government for effective service delivery in the state.

While delivering his speech, the representative of OGP National Secretariat Ochenna Arisukwu commended Jigawa state government for the cooperation to Non State Actors towards achieving Open Government in the state.

He then, lauded state OGP team for their efforts to promote Justice, transparency, inclusiveness and accountability in governance. Promised more support to state OGP team to reach international level.

Also making his remarks, the State Team Lead PACE (FCDO) Muiz Adeniran said, the session is an opportunity for the participants to brainstorm and design a realistic action plan that would address challenges in the state.
