The Jigawa State Government has opened tender for the procurement of ten Toyota Hilux vehicles for security agencies in the State.
Declaring the bid opening, Alhaji Bello Datti, Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Special Services and Council Affairs, reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing support for security formations in maintaining peace and security across State.
He said the initiative aligns with Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s 12-point agenda, emphasizing the importance of security in safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.
He urged the technical committee to ensure a transparent and impartial selection process. He also called upon the successful contractor to adhere to the project timeline.
Sani Ismai’l, representing Civil Society Organizations, highlighted the need for contractors to prioritize quality and timely delivery throughout the project execution.
While Responding on behalf of the bidders, Shu’aibu Adamu, a representative from Zurfat Investment Limited, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the procurement process and assured their commitment to meeting the government’s standards.
“This bidding process represents a significant advancement in enhancing the mobility and operational efficiency of Security Agencies in the State”, he said.
