The elders and philanthropist of Birnin Kudu local government area of Jigawa state have called on the people in the area to embrace peace and Unity for more development and progress in the area.
The call was made during the annual general meeting and the celebration of seven years anniversary of Muryar Birnin Kudu, held on Thursday at School of Nursing and midwifery Birnin Kudu.
The chairman of the occasion and also former governor of Jigawa state Barrister Ali Sa’adu Birnin Kudu said, Birnin Kudu was blessed with many natural resources that can generate job opportunities for Youths.
The former governor who appreciated the participants, urged Birnin Kudu Youths to adopt digital innovations and create job opportunities for better future.
While delivering his remarks, the Chairman of Muryar Birnin Alhaji Ahmad Sa’id Kangire said, the Union recorded tremendous achievements under his one year leadership.
He identified some of the success in areas of Health, education, Culture and Traditions and security matter, while identifying Inadequate funds and misunderstanding from some people as major challenges of the Union.
Also speaking, the APC Chieftain Alhaji Farouk Adams Aliyu accused the Youths for vandalizing the properties of investors in the area, and appealed to government and general public for not allowing the micro-finance Bank in Birnin Kudu to collapse.
In his remarks, the Jigawa State Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Bala Ibrahim urged for more unity and patriotism of Birnin Kudu and assured more government commitments towards development of the area.
Meanwhile during the occasion, the Union also awarded Mubaraka Sani who is the indigene of Birnin Kudu for her victory as winner of 2025 National Qur’anic recitation held at Maiduguri Borno state.
