With a view to creating employment opportunities and ensuring self reliance in entrepreneurship, National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has trained 400 unemployed on Agro-businesses in Adamawa state.
Information Officer of the Directorate, Hajiya Aisha Madu Fika disclosed the development in a press statement issued Wednesday in Yola highlighting that the 400 beneficiaries including youths and women have been equipped in six (6) different Agro-businesses such as sustainable Agriculture training scheme,Micro-livestock Agriculture training scheme and Small stock (goat) production training scheme.
The statement further mentioned other aspects of the training to include; Fish production training scheme, Community based Agriculture training scheme as well as Organic Agriculture training scheme.
Fika explained that,the training ranges from one to three months respectively and that, the Directorate is working on how to empower the most commended and disciplined among them to start their own business.
“The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Adamawa state office has just successfully concluded the training of 400 unemployed youths and women in six different Agro businesses in the state
“These trainings were conducted in the following areas namely ; Sustainable Agriculture training scheme,Micro-livest ock Agriculture training scheme, Small
stock (goat) production training scheme, Community Based Agriculture training scheme,Fish production training scheme
and Organic Agriculture training scheme.
“Accordingly the training ranges from one to three months respectively as the Directorate intend to empower those with outstanding performance to start their own business”. The statement emphasized.
