As part of effort to improve security and promote Peace and stability, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), organized a Retreat for it’s members in North Western states.
Speaking during the retreat held at Three Stars Hotel Dutse, the National Chairman of PCRC Alhaji Ibrahim Mogaji Olaniyan said the retreat is aimed to boost the member’s skills and knowledge on Police Community Relations Policing as well as to honor some members of PCRC on their commitments towards building a Peaceful communities.
He explained that, the retreat converge PCRC delegates from seven states of Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi and Kaduna.
Alhaji Olaniyan who Commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for redeployment of security personnels to the areas suffering from insecurity.
According to him, the President also is committed towards provision of all needed to tackle security challenges in the country.
He then commended governor Malam Umar Namadi for the donations of vehicles to security agencies in Jigawa.
While delivering his speech at the retreat, the Commissioner of Police Jigawa State command, CP Dahiru Muhammed urged citizens to alert the nearby security on any stranger’s movement around their areas.
The Commissioner added that, Police can’t provide security alone without support From members of the community, urging the public to cooperate with security agencies for better and peaceful Jigawa State.
Also speaking, the Jigawa State chairman of Police Community Relations Committee ( PCRC) Alhaji Shehu Usman Barde said, National body of PCRC choose to hold this occasion in Jigawa as it remain one of the most peaceful state not only in North-West but Nigeria at large.
He said, the retreat also boosted the knowledge of seven state’s leadership of PCRC whom would step down the skills acquired during the retreat to their respective members.
Barde then, commended governor Malam Umar Namadi for his efforts to improve security situation across 27 local government by supporting the security agencies.
