The Pesident of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday morning, arrived in Tokyo, Japan for the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9).
This was contained in a statement,signed by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s special adviser on information and strategy, and made it available to news men.
The statement said, the president landed in the Asian country early Tuesday morning local time to join other African leaders who will be attending the summit from August 20 to 22 at the Pacifico Yokohama.
According to the statement, Tinubu was received at the presidential wing of the Haneda International Airport, Tokyo, by Hideo Matsubara, the ambassador in charge of the airport for TICAD; Yusuf Tuggar, Nigeria’s minister of foreign affairs; and officials from the Nigerian embassy.
