In its continued efforts to restore peace and harmony in the North East,troops of the joint Task Force Operation ‘Hadinkai (OPHK) in collaboration with the local vigilante have arrested a suppected logistics supplier to the Boko Haram insurgents in Visik village of Hong local government area in Adamawa state.
Media Information Officer of the OPHK in charge of North East, Lieutenant colonel Sani Uba disclosed the development via a press release issued Thursday stressing that, troops of sector 4 under 28 Task Force Brigade apprehended one Ismail Muhammad, 28yr for alleged link with the Boko Haram insurgents as a logistics supplier in Visik village of Hong council area.
According to the release, the suspect is in custody assisting with useful information and items recovered from him include ;AK-47 magazine with rounds of 7.62mm ammunition
“On Thursday, troops of Sector 4 under 28 Task Force Brigade apprehended 28-year-old Ismail Muhammed, a terrorist logistics supplier, in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
“Items recovered from the suspect included one AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements and assorted foodstuffs. The suspect is currently in custody undergoing further investigation”.lt stressed.
Further more, the release stated that another terrorist Commander, Abdullahi Mafa has been neutralized in an encounter with the troops around Visik river in Madagali local government area as one AK-47 rifle with a loaded magazine were recovered from the killed insurgent.
Another alleged terrorist collaborator, one, Dauda Usman Gubula,64 yr.old was also apprehended by the troops at motor Park in Madagali town with incriminating items including two aerial drones and their accessories and 20 units of solar power banks
In a separate operation in Madagali Local Government Area, troops of Sector 4 neutralised a terrorist commander, Abdullahi Mafa during an ambush operations around the Visik River line. With an AK 47 rifle as well as loaded magazine recovered from the neutralised terrorist.
“Troops acting on further intelligence arrested 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula, a terrorist collaborator and drone supplier responsible for supplying drones to the terrorists which is subsequently locally armed and used by the terrorists against troop.
“He was arrested at Madagali Motor Park. Recovered items included two aerial drones, drone accessories and 20 solar power banks.
“Troops continue to intensify efforts to dismantle the insurgent supply networks”. The statement maintained.
