The Association of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria(AONN), with support from VILDEV and office of the Jigawa first Lady Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi supported 100 Orphan in the state.
The distribution of the support is part of activities to celebrate world Orphans day 2025 organization by the Association and Jigawa State government held on Monday at Dutse local government Secretariat.
The first Lady who was represented by Hajiya Asmau Dutse said, the efforts is part of the present administration’s efforts to support less privilege people in the state.
She said, the 100 Orphan and Vulnerable Children received education materials urging the general public for more support to Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Jigawa State.
While delivering her speech, the Jigawa state coordinator, Association of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (AONN) Hajiya Nafisa Abdullahi congratulated and commended the first Lady on efforts to uplift the life of Orphans and vulnerable Children in Jigawa.
According to her, the Association introduced many programs that would promote and protect the life of Orphans and vulnerable Children in the state.
She said, some of the items distributed to Orphans and Vulnerable children at the world Orphans day celebration include schools bag, note books, pencil among many others.
