INEC Declares Adeleke Winner Of Osun Governorship Election With 511,067 Votes

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Ademola Adeleke the candidate of the Accord Party, as the winner of the Osun governorship election.

Announcing the results, the returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, declared the results at INEC collation Centre in the State.

Ogunwole explained that, the candidate of the Accord Party polled a total of 511,067 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444, 815 votes.

He said, that Ademola Adeleke, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.

“That, Ademola Adeleke of Accord Party, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared winner and is returned elected, duly signed by me,” declared.
