The Deputy Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in charge of Northern Nigeria, Hon. Engr. Magaji Da’u Aliyu, PhD, mni, has described the appointment of Senator Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari as Director-General of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Campaign Council as well deserved and based on merit.
In a statement personally signed by him, Aliyu congratulated Yari on his appointment, describing him as an experienced politician, grassroots mobiliser and seasoned administrator with the capacity to deliver on the responsibility entrusted to him.
“Let me seize this opportunity to congratulate His Excellency, Senator Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, on his well-deserved appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Director-General of the Tinubu Campaign Council,” he said.
The TSG Deputy Director-General commended President Tinubu for what he described as a strategic and well-considered decision to appoint Yari, noting that his wealth of political experience and strong grassroots connections would be valuable to the campaign.
According to him, Yari has distinguished himself as a seasoned politician with a deep understanding of grassroots mobilisation, not only in Northern Nigeria but across the country.
Aliyu described the former Zamfara State governor as a humble, honest, trustworthy and hardworking leader who has consistently demonstrated commitment to responsibilities entrusted to him.
He expressed confidence that Yari would bring his political experience, organisational skills and extensive grassroots network to bear on the campaign, adding that he was capable of successfully executing the mandate given to him.
“Senator Abdul’aziz Yari is a man of dignity, respect and responsibility. He is trustworthy and has demonstrated integrity in the discharge of responsibilities and public trust,” Aliyu said.
He further expressed optimism that Yari’s leadership of the campaign council would strengthen the mobilisation of supporters across the country and contribute significantly to President Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.
Aliyu urged members and supporters of the Tinubu campaign to rally behind Yari and work collectively towards achieving victory for President Tinubu in the forthcoming election.
