Gov Namadi flags-off N4.52 Billion Feeder Road, Inaugurates Resident of Kwalam District Head

The Jigawa state governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi has flagged off the construction of Chuwasu-Chakwaikwaiwa to Zangon Maje Feeder Road in Taura local government area of the State.

Speaking during the flags-off ceremony, governor Namadi said, the feeder road with a distance of 26km is awarded to Space Grove Investment Nigeria Limited at total cost of N4.52 billion.

He explained that, the project is part of the 15 approved rural roads by the state executive council in September, 2024 covering a total 263.8 kilometers across the 27 local government areas.

The Governor who assured timely completion of the project, promised to execute more projects that would improve the life of Jigawa citizens.

“From the report I received, this feeder road will be completed within the specified time. I am glad to hear from the contractors that their payments have been consistent and timely. We will continue to ensure that all contractors are paid when due, and we urge them to double their efforts so all projects are completed within the stipulated period.”

The governor further commissioned the renovated and upgraded Taura Primary Healthcare Centre and inaugurated a newly constructed residence for the District Head of Kwalam, executed by the local government council.

As has been the norm in every local government area visited, community leaders presented Governor Namadi with a compendium of priority needs of the people of Taura, highlighting their development aspirations.
