The Jigawa state Ministry of Basic Education in collaboration with office of the Special Assistant to the governor on ICT have trained 1,300 Primary and junior secondary School teachers on digital literacy.
Speaking to journalists during the workshop held at Dutse Model Secondary School, the executive chairman Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Haruna Musa said the three day training workshop is an opportunity for participants to migrate from analog to digital teachers whom can fluently compete with others internationally.
Professor Haruna Musa prioritize quality teacher then learning materials and infrastructures urged the participants to appropriately use the skills acquired during the training and step it down to other teachers in their respective schools.
He then commended the digital team and State ministry of Basic Education for organizing the training, adding that, Jigawa SUBEB has gone far on training and retraining of teachers on digital innovations to meet the target of providing quality learning in the schools across the state.
While delivering his remarks, the Special Assistant to the governor on ICT, Comrade Hashim A. Hashim said, the training aimed at boosting the digital knowledge of teachers to achieve quality learning in Jigawa.
According to him, the participants will be train on digital literacy, Take Servi and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to simplify learning and teaching processes in various schools.
He maintained that, is an initiative by the present administration under the leadership of Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s twelve points agenda to provide a conducive learning and teaching environment for qualitative education to Jigawa citizens.
Comrade Hashim then commended governor Namadi and urged the participants to concentrate on the training and step it down to other teachers whom were not part of the training.
