The Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) Jigawa state chapter, conducted its election and New leaders emerged to fill various positions at state level.
CS-SUNN new executives emerged in the state through consensus during it’s Congress held at 744 Mopol base Dutse the capital of Jigawa.
The emergence of new leadership followed the completion of former executive under the leadership of comrade Shuaibu Musa Kafin-gana who led the journey for two tenure of 8 years.

Those emerged as new executives are Mohammed Ahmed as State Coordinator, Idayat Lawal State Secretary, and Lawal Ahmad Bako to serve as State advocacy lead.
Others are Muftahu Abdu Sankara as Resources mobilization lead, Abdullahi Sarki state policy and research lead, Binta Lawan Umar as Capacity building lead and Comrade Shuaibu Musa Kafin-gana to serve as ex-officio.
The election was supervised by Representative from CS-SUNN national headquarters Abuja, Mr Silas ideva who congratulated the new leadership and expressed his satisfaction of the election process.
Mr Ideva commended the past executives for their hardwork which yielded a tremendous success on promotion of Nutrition activities in the state.
He then, urged the new executives to work hard and in team to achieve more success in addressing malnutrition issues and save thousands of children from the risk of being stunting in Jigawa.
While delivering his acceptance speech on behalf of the entire new Excos, the State coordinator Comrade Muhammad Ahmed promised to work hard and follow the former executive footsteps to promote nutrition and reduce malnutrition and stunting rates in Jigawa state.
