No fewer twenty four (24) people were confirmed dead, after a Canoe capsized in Adiyani Village area of Guri local government,Jigawa state.
This was confirmed by the Jigawa State Police command, through the Police public Relations Officer CSP Shiisu Adam in Dutse the state capital.
He explained that, ten (10) people were rescued, while fourteen (14) are still missing as a result of the incident.
“The death toll rises to twenty four people, ten (10) rescued, while fourteen (14) are still missing after a canoe capsized in Adiyani village, Guri LGA”, he said.
