Hundreds of residents of Jamari and Wuro Tale wards thronged various communities to welcome the member representing Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Abdullahi El-Rasheed Bala Kelly, as he embarked on a tour to commission completed projects and inspect ongoing ones across the area.
The lawmaker began the tour with an inspection of an ongoing mosque construction project at Gadum, which is currently about 50 per cent completed.
Community members described the project as unprecedented in the area and a clear reflection of the dividends of democracy.
At Dige Village in Jamari Ward of Dukku Local Government Area, Bala Kelly commissioned a newly constructed block of two classrooms, aimed at improving the learning environment and boosting access to quality education for children in the community.
The tour further took him to Garin Bulama, Kaloma and Gadum Karama, where he commissioned newly built mosques as well as expansion works on existing ones to accommodate the growing population and meet the religious needs of residents.
As part of efforts to address water scarcity, the lawmaker also commissioned boreholes at Wuro Tale and Tinbu villages, providing the communities with access to clean and potable drinking water.
Speaking during the exercise, Bala Kelly said the projects were part of his sustained commitment to grassroots development and improving the living conditions of people in the constituency.
He assured constituents of his determination to continue attracting people-oriented projects that would positively impact their lives.
Beneficiaries of the projects expressed appreciation to the lawmaker, describing the interventions as timely and impactful, and pledged their continued support for his representation at the National Assembly.
