The Jigawa State governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has urged residents of 27 local government areas of Jigawa to join the ruling All progressive Congress (APC) as party membership registration continues across the country.
Governor Namadi also called on Jigawa citizens to take full advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voters Card (PVC) registration exercise in order to participate actively in the democratic process ahead of 2027 general elections.
In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Hajiya Zainab Shu’aibu Rabo, described Voter’s Card as major elements to decide for their future.
He emphasized that the PVC registration exercise, which commenced some time ago, remains open and accessible.
The statement also encouraged eligible residents to register to have chances for voting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the forthcoming election adding that, President Tinubu performed well for Nigerians.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) registration is currently ongoing, urging people who are yet to register to do so and officially become members of the party.
“APC remains the dominant political party in the state and the country, noting that there is virtually no presence of any other political party due to its high performance on improving the life of Jigawa citizens,” the statement said.
