As part of preparation for its National convention slated next month 27 and 28, the All Progressive Congress (APC) has unveiled Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as Chairman, and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, as Secretary of the party’s National Convention Central Coordination Committee.
This was contained in a statement signed by the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, and made it available to news men on Monday.
The statement also announced Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to serve as Vice Chairman of the 73-member Central Coordination Committee for the Convention.
According to the statement, governors on the committee are Umo Bassey Eno of Akwa Ibom State, Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, Bassey Otu of Cross River State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State, Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State, Abiodun Adedapo Oluseun of Ogun State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State, Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State, and Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.
Other members are APC Interim National Chairman Bisi Akande; former party chairmen Adams Oshiomhole, Abdullahi Adamu, and Abdullahi Ganduje; the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohamed Idris Malagi; and the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa (retd.).
The list also includes Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin; Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu; former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius Anyim, Ken Nnamani, and Ahmed Lawan; as well as former Speakers of the House of Representatives Aminu Bello Masari, Patricia Etteh, Dimeji Bankole, Yakubu Dogara, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, among others.
