A Women political group known as Danmodi Mata Zallah has launched its leadership structures in Jigawa with promise to Mobilizes 500,000 votes for Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi in the forthcoming general election.
The promise was made by the State coordinator of the group Hajiya Maryam Muhammed Abubakar shortly after their inauguration on Tuesday, held at Manpower Development Institute Dutse.
She explained that, Danmodi Mata Zallah is formed with aimed reward Governor Namadi’s support to women in Jigawa state.
“We initiated this group ‘Danmodi Mata Zallah’ with aims to reward Governor Namadi’s support, concerns and commitments towards improving the life of women in Jigawa during his tenure as Governor,” She said.
According to her, the group launched it leadership structures including state executives, 27 local government coordinators, 287 wards coordinators and 4,522 poling Unit leaders for proper mobilization.
She then commended the governor for his tireless support to women, adding that they will do all their best to ensure the reelection of Danmodi as Jigawa Governor for second term.
While delivering his speech after inauguration of the leadership, the commissioner for local government, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa congratulated the new executives and urged them to work hard for the success of governor Malam Umar Namadi in forthcoming election.
The commissioner also urged religious leaders to preach the importance of women in Islam towards nations building and community development.
