The Federal University Dutse has matriculated a total of 3,964 students for the 2025/2026 academic session bringing to an end the 2025/2026 admission exercise.

Speaking during the occasion, the outgoing  Vice- Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed informed the audience that a total of 9,611  applications for admision into the university were  received and 4,558 we’re admitted out of which  3,964 eventually registered and are being matriculated to day adding that the National Universities Commission admission quota for FUD is 5,583.

He said the university has completed the construction of the Faculty of Law complex and God willing students would be admitted into the Faculty next session after the resource verification visits and approval from the relevant bodies.

Prof. Abdulkarim said with the matriculation exercise today, the students have entered into contractual agreement with the university as full fledged students with rights, privileges and obligations  attached to their new status.

The VC while congratulating the new students, urged them to take their studies seriously because they are just among the lucky few to get admission in a competitive admission process adding that they should avoid vices like examination malpractices, cultism, drug abuse, fighting and stealing among others.

He urged them to channel their complain to the Student Union Government or Dean of Students Affairs because the university frown at students taking laws into their hands adding that the new students should familiarize themselves with the students handbook which contains all the rules and regulations of the university.

He emphasized the need to adhere to the dress  code of the university to avoid unnecessary embarrassment.

Professor Abdulkarim said the university has graduated nine sets of students most of whom are doing well all over the world.
