Jigawa State Government announced plan to backed it’s Social Protection schemes by laws for better sustainability of the Schemes.
This was disclosed by the State Attorney general and commissioner of Justice Bello Abdulkadir Fanini when the team of Jigawa Social Protection Platform paid an advocacy visit to him at ministry of Justice Jigawa state new Secretariat Dutse.

The commissioner who was represented by permanent secretary of the ministry Lawan D. Baba described the visit as timely said, the state government will soon commence state’s laws review.
“Your visit is timely as government will soon commence review of state laws, and I promised you we would do all our best to ensure your request is included”, he said.
He then commended JISOP for making efforts to improve the life of Jigawa citizens, assuring to partner with any organization that is willing to bring development for Jigawa.

Speaking earlier, the chairman Jigawa State Social Protection Platform (JISOP) comrade Shu’aibu Musa Kafin-gana said, the team paid advocacy visit to some Ministries and MDAs with aimed to advocate for the establishment of Social Protection Agency, laws that would support the sustainability of maternal child Cash transfer, targeting pregnant and lactating mothers and old age social protection schemes.
The Chairman maintained that, JISOP is committed towards promoting Gender Equality Social Protection and Inclusion in Jigawa state.
According to him, there is 43 Social Protection programs in 23 MDAs which involves all vulnerable groups women, children, People’s With Disabilities and old age. Therefore platform is advocating for it sustainability in the state.
