ADC Congress: Senator Binani bloc reject outcome of state congresses.

Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani of the African Democratic Congress, ADC has rejected the outcome of the party’s Congresses conducted by the Congress committee sent from the headquarters of the party in Adamawa state.

Recall that the Congress committee led by General Ishaya Bauka claimed to have conducted congresses from polling units wards and state levels producing Barrister Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin and 53 other officials despite a high Court order suspending the exercise until after the determination of case instituted by the embattled chairman of party, Comrade Shehu Yohanna.

Senator Binani made the declaration while addressing her teeming supporters who organized a solidarity rally as an aftermath of controversial congresses explaining that her bloc as a law abiding entity opted not to participate in the said exercise due to circumstances that surrounded the exercise.

Binani at the rally held in Yola Monday expressed disappointment with the Gen Bauka led committee for allegedly been economical with the truth and sidelined in the entire Congress processes that took place in the state last weekend.

She assured her supporters that their confidence in her will not be in vein urging them to be patient as neccesary action would be taken in the interest of her political movement soonest.

“We deliberating refused to took part of last unlawful congresses conducted by General Ishaya Bauka’s committee despite the pending court order suspending the exercise.

“I urge you to exercise some restraint as we are working on the best action in dealing with the injustice mated on us which is dishonorable in its entirety “. Binani appealed.

In his address at the rally, an ADC party stalwart Peter Hardly Dilli registered his displeasure with the development accusing former SGF David Lawan Babachir of being the brain behind the unnecessary crisis in the party.

Dilli said that the Coalition had earlier met and agreed to share the party in to three blocs including Senator Binani bloc,Transition bloc headed by Sadiq Dasin and the ADC party legacy bloc led by Shehu Yohanna with a view to accommodate all political interests with in the party.

Dilli explained that the sharing formula for the blocs agreed on was 33% to the transition group,Senator Binani group and legacy/Party group while former Vice president Atiku Abubakar bloc was allocated 1% of the structure of the party.

He also queried Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin’s led executives for deliberating refusing to obey the court order restraining the conduct of ADC party congresses pending the determination of the case by the court

Also speaking at the solidarity rally, former Senator Ahmed Batata told the gathering that the meeting became urgent and neccesary so that the bloc can address the issue at hand especially the political adjustment.

Senator Barata maintained that Binani is a force to reckon with in the political arena in the state noting that a concrete decision would be made public in due course.

Barata announced that the Binani bloc will communicate the next line of action whether to leave the platform or to take neccesary action in rectifying the fault at hand.

Political analysts in the state are of the view that if nothing urgent is done to address these differences then the party may be heading for a crash ahead the 2027 general elections.
