A group, Concerned Citizens of Jigawa Central, has urged Rep. Yusuf Shitu-Galambi (APC Gwaram Federal Constituency) to run for the Senate in 2027, citing his experience and leadership qualities.
The call was made by Ambassador Bello Sabo, the Youth Activists of the group during a press conference in Dutse.
“We, the undersigned groups and stakeholders of Jigawa Central, write to formally express our strong endorsement and collective appeal for Hon Yusuf Shitu-Galambi tò consider contesting for the position of Senator representing Jigawa South West Senatorial District.
“Over the years, your exemplary leadership, dedication to public service, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of your constituents have eařned you the trust and respect of the people. Your ability to connect with the grassroots, coupled with your proven track record in delivering meaningful development, clearly distinguishes you as a capable and visionary leader.
“At this çritical time, Jigawa south west requires a representative who can effectivey advocate for the needs of our people at the national level, particularly in areas such as youth empowerment, economic growth, infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. We firmly believe that you possess the competence, experience and integrity required to fulfill this responsibility with excellence,” Sabo said.
Sabo said Shitu-Galambi’s candidacy will not only inspire confidence among the electorate, but also unify diverse groups across the senatorial district toward a common goal of progress and sustainable development.
The representative of the group added that in light of the above, members of the group have respectfully and unanimously called on heed to heed their appeal and present himself for service in the Senate.
According to him, the group stands ready to support the federal lawmaker in this
noble endeavor.
“With deep respect and recognition of your commitment to public service, we write to sincerely urge you to consider contèsting for the position of Senator repřesentingJigawa Central. Your track record of leadership, dedication to community development and your
connection with the people have distinguished you as a trusted voicę in governance.
“At a time when Jigawa Central seeks stronger representation, visionary leadership and effective advocacy at the national level, your experience and integrity make you a compelling chọice.
“The challenges facing our communities youth unemploymeht, infrastructure gaps, healthcare access, agriculture and economic development require a leader who not only understands the grassroots, but has consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver results.You have shown these qualities,” the group said.
According to the group, this is a defining monent for Jigawa Central where Shitu-Galabi’s candidacy would inspire
confidence, unify stakeholders and bring renewed hope to the people.
The group further expressed the belief that the lawmakers’ service is still greatly needed presently at a higher level where his impact can be broader and more transformative.
“We therefore, respectfully, call on you to answer this call to serve,” the group appeal.
