Crisis Rocks Jigawa ADC As New Excos, Expels Sen  Nakudu, Gumel, Jumbo, Others

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Jigawa State chapter held it’s State Congress and elected new executives through consensus.

The Congress that took place on Friday produced new executives including Honourable Kabiru Hussaini ( Na-Rungo) as State Party Chairman, Ahmad Sankara Gerawa State deputy chairman, and Nuraini Usman Hadejia as Secretary of the Party.

Others are Honourable Abba Chamo as State vice chairman I, Alhaji Ahmad Yamaya Vice chairman II, Alhaji Musa Idris Auyo State Vice chairman III, Zakaria Ismail Maaji state assistance secretary, and Bashir Usman Doko who was elected as State treasurer of the party.

Speaking shortly after their inauguration, the party chairman Kabiru Hussaini Na-Rungo announced the suspension of Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, Bashir Adamu Jumbo, Alhaji Abba Anas and Alhaji Ahmed Mahmud Gumel from the party.

” I want make it categorically clear that, any individual who refuse to register and identify with new legitimate leadership of ADC under the recognized structure in Jigawa state stands expelled from the party in accordance with the constitution and guidelines of our Party “, he said.

He explained that, “As you are aware that, the Federal High Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja, under the distinguished leadership of Honourable Justice Joyce O. Abdulmalik, nullified the previous illegal and unconstitutional Congress and convention conducted by other group who neither meant well for the progress of ADC nor for the Democratic candidate development of Jigawa State.

“The Judgement of the court clearly affirmed that those individuals lacks legal standing and constitutional authority to conduct Congress on behalf of the Party, the court further recognized the legitimate leadership structure of the Party and reaffirmed the authority of the duly recognized state chairmen to organized lawful Congress and convention in their respective states”, Na-Rungo said.

He then said, the Party leadership remained committed to justice, fairness, party discipline and Democratic aspirations of the good people of Jigawa State and Nigeria at large.
