The Jigawa State executive Council has approved the request by the Ministry of Health to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lafiya Nigeria, through the Jigawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency (JSPHCDA), to support the provision of quality reproductive health services across the State.
This was contained in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information Alhaji Sagir Musa and made it available to news men in Dutse.
The statement said, the partnership with Lafiya Nigeria will collaborate with the Jigawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency to strengthen reproductive health interventions through capacity building for healthcare workers, provision of technical support, improvement of service delivery, community engagement, and other evidence-based initiatives aimed at enhancing maternal and reproductive health outcomes.
“The collaboration is expected to complement the His Excellency, Malam Umar A. Namadi FCA administration’s healthcare priorities and contribute to the achievement of Universal Health Coverage in an ongoing effort to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, increase access to family planning services, improve antenatal and postnatal care, and promote informed reproductive health choices among the population”, the statement said.
