The Jigawa state government through Science and Technical board has awarded best performing teachers in English and Mathematics in the state.
In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant on media affairs to the governor Hajiya Zainab Shu’aibu Rabo, said the best teachers award presentation, is first of it’s kind, organized by the board and held at Ahmadu Bello Hall new secretariat Dutse.
The statement said, during the ceremony, the state governor Malam Umar Namadi explained that, provision of quality education is part of present administration’s twelve points agenda for better future of the young generation.
He maintained that, apart from building and renovation of thousands classri, his administration also provides all the necessary infrastructures to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere across the schools in the state.
While speaking on effort to address shortages of teachers challenges in the state, the governor added that, under his administration thousands of teachers were recruited with additional of J-teachers whom were later recruited as permanent and pensionable teachers.
The governor who promised more welfare to the teachers, commended the teachers for their sacrifices, urging them to work hard and deliver the best and quality education to Jigawa children for better development of the state.
