The Jigawa State All Progressive Congress (APC) Elder’s Committee agreed to purchase Nomination Form for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Malam Umar Namadi to run for second term.
This was announced by the state chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Ahmed Garba MK during the committee’s meeting with Governor over the weekend at government house Dutse.
The party chairman explained the committee which is a highest decision making body of the party is at government house to present three resolution to the governor.
According to him, the APC Elder’s Committee agreed and endorsed president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a solely Presidential candidate, and Governor Malam Umar Namadi as solely Gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming 2027 general election.
He maintained that, the second resolution made by the Party’s Elder’s Committee is the entire members agreed to purchase Nomination form for both president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor Malam Umar Namadi.
The Party Chairman added that, the last resolution made by the Elder’s Committee is anonymous agreement on consensus candidates for President and Governor in the state.
The resolution was adopted by the representative of three Senatorial zones including Alhaji Farouk Adamu Aliyu from Jigawa South-West, Senator Ibrahim Muhammad Kiri-kasamma from Jigawa North-East, and Alhaji Isah Muhammad Gerawa who represented Jigawa North-West zone.
