Jigawa Govt Sets For 2026 Investment Summit

The Jigawa State government said it concluded arrangements for Investment Summit scheduled to hold on the 1st and 2nd of July, 2026.

This was announced by the chairman publicity committee and State commissioner for information Alhaji Sagir Musa during a press conference held at NUJ Secretariat Dutse.

The commissioner explained that, the theme of the summit is “Unlocking Opportunities: Driving Sustainable Growth for a Better Jigawa.”

He said, the landmark event reflects the unwavering commitment of the Government of Jigawa State to fostering economic transformation, attracting strategic investments, and creating sustainable opportunities that will improve the lives of our people.

According to him, Jigawa State is blessed with vast economic potential, a peaceful business environment, fertile agricultural land, energetic youth population, and growing infrastructure that position our state as a prime destination for local and international investors.

“The 2026 Investment Summit will serve as a strategic platform to bring together policymakers, development partners, investors, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and industry leaders to explore viable investment opportunities across key sectors critical to our development agenda”, he said.

The commissioner who said, the summit will focus on promoting investment and partnerships in four priority sectors: including  Agriculture – Mobilizing finance and investments for agriculture sector transformation, Renewable Energy – Harnessing Jigawa’s alternative energy potential for sustainable development.

Other priority areas are MSMEs and Light Manufacturing – Positioning MSMEs as catalysts for industrialization, and Social Services (Education and Health) Building public-private partnerships for improved service delivery in health and education.

He said, the summit is not merely an event; it is a call to partnership and collective action. We believe that sustainable economic growth can only be achieved through collaboration between government, the private sector, development institutions, and the people.

“During the two-day summit, participants will engage in high-level discussions, sector presentations, investment showcases, business networking sessions, and strategic dialogues designed to unlock new opportunities for growth and prosperity in Jigawa State.

“We therefore invite investors, business leaders, development partners, and all stakeholders to take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore the immense potential that Jigawa State has to offer.

The Commissioner then assured all prospective investors of our administration’s commitment to providing an enabling environment that supports investment, transparency, ease of doing business, and sustainable development.
