The management of Dangote Petrochemical Refinery on Wednesday has announced that it has resumed the sale of petrol in naira.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the company on July 22, in Abuja, and made it available to news men.
“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has resumed the sale of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in naira, providing a measure of relief to marketers and consumers.The gantry price is fixed at N1,215/ litre.”
It was on last week, Dangote had started selling some refined petroleum products in dollars. According to the dollar gantry or ex-depot pricing template circulated to marketers, petrol was sold for $0.779 per litre; diesel, $1.087 per litre and aviation fuel for $0.942 per litre.
The development increased the price of petrol to N1200 to N1280 in Lagos, while the price also went higher in many other states.
