The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna, Sardaunan Gombe, has pledged to prioritise unity, inclusive governance and sustainable development if elected governor in 2027.
Gwamna stated this in a statement issued on Thursday by his media aide, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, said his ambition was driven by a strong commitment to the welfare of the people and the overall development of Gombe State.
According to him, his “Gombe First” agenda is aimed at placing the interests of the people above every other consideration.
“Gombe First is not just a slogan, it is a commitment to place the interests of Gombe people above all. It means Gombe first in development, unity and opportunities for all,” he said.
The APC governorship hopeful assured residents that his administration would run an open and inclusive government where every citizen, regardless of political affiliation, gender or social status, would have equal opportunities to contribute to governance and development.
He also extended a hand of fellowship to other aspirants within the party, describing them as partners working towards the same goal of moving the state forward.
“We all share a common goal, which is the development of Gombe State. Together, we are stronger,” he added.
Gwamna commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for what he described as remarkable achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare and economic development, saying his administration would consolidate on the gains already recorded.
He said priority attention would be given to critical sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, education, youth empowerment and human capital development.
The APC candidate further pledged support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that aligning the state with federal government policies would attract more economic opportunities and improve the living conditions of the people.
He urged residents of the state to embrace unity and support purposeful leadership for the progress and prosperity of Gombe State.
