In what appeared to be a failure on attempt to create division in Jigawa state Correspondent’s Chapel, the members of the chapel have passed the vote of confidence in the leadership of Muhammad Zangina Kura.

This was contained in a letter signed by the members of the chapel during it’s Congress held today 10th June,2026 and made it available to relevant authorities and general public.

According to the letter, following the series of letters sent to the Chapel regarding to its purported leadership crisis, an extraordinary Congress was convened on June 10, 2026, where the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:

“The Congress has unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of Muhammad Zangina Kura, wishing him continued wisdom and courage in his endeavors”.

“After a thorough review of the correspondence received and the purported removal of our Chairman, the Congress found the action to be entirely unconstitutional, unethical, and unacceptable. As an enlightened body guided strictly by our constitution, we condemn this action, viewing it as a personal witch-hunt and vendetta.

“The Chapel’s review of your letters revealed no record of a complaint from any of the Chapel member (s) and that there is no evidence to validate the allegations”.

The Congress further, condemns this unconstitutional action in its entirety and calls for strict adherence to decorum and professionalism in the discharge of official responsibilities.

“Notwithstanding, the vote of confidence, the Congress has accepted that the Chairman, Muhammad Zangina Kura, should step aside and hand over the leadership of the Chapel to the Vice Chairman, pending further developments”.

The Congress then, remains firmly committed to discharging its primary responsibilities in line with the ethics of our noble profession. We will continue to safeguard the integrity of the Union for the betterment of society.
